SANDY, Utah (Friday, February 8, 2013) – MULTI-PLATINUM country music superstar Jason Aldean has been on a strong and steady climb, breaking all-genre sales and touring records in over 40 venues over the last two years, with no sign of slowing down. Today the CMA and ACM Award winner announced that his 2013 Night Train Tour arrives in Utah on July 27 at spectacular Rio Tinto Stadium, where the entertainer will be joined by special guests Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett.

"The thing I'm most excited about for 2013 is getting to add some new songs off the 'Night Train' album into my show," said Aldean. "As a musician, it's great to be able to shake up the set list and think of cool ways to present these new songs in the live show. I'm a big fan of both Jake and Thomas Rhett, so it'll be awesome to have those guys out with us."

Tickets for the Rio Tinto Stadium stop on this summer’s highly anticipated tour, which will be available starting at $25, $45 and $60, will go on sale to the publicbeginning at 10:00 a.m. MT on Friday, February 15.  Tickets will be available for purchase in person at the Rio Tinto Stadium Box Office during regular business hours (10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. MT, Monday-Friday) and online via www.RioTintoStadium.com.

“We are thrilled to be hosting Jason Aldean and the Night Train tour,” said Rio Tinto Stadium President Bill Manning. “Our venue has established itself as a place where the biggest concerts become unforgettable events. Jason has the hottest record in the country and on July 27 his fans will be treated to a show that promises to be the highlight of the Summer in Salt Lake.”

Aldean solidified his stadium headliner status when the first announced stadium dates of the 2013 Night Train Tour sold out in just minutes. In 2013, Aldean will play to sold out crowds at the University of Georgia's Sanford Stadium in Athens, GA (4/13), with a two-night stand at Boston's Fenway Park (7/12 and 7/13) before heading to Wrigley Field in Chicago.

In mid-December, Aldean received news of PLATINUM certification for his latest album NIGHT TRAIN, which earned the status officially just four weeks after its Oct. 16 release.  The album that Entertainment Weekly described as EPIC hit big out of the gate, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and doubling the first week sales numbers of his previous album, the Double Platinum MY KINDA PARTY.

Additionally, Aldean recently joined an eclectic lineup of music hitmakers -- Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Pitbull and Psy -- to ring in the New Year with a three-song nationally-televised performance on Dick Clark's New Year’s Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2013, featured on the ABC network.

Aldean's second single off NIGHT TRAIN, "The Only Way I Know" feat. Luke Bryan and Eric Church, landed the top spot on the country charts this week to become his seventh consecutive No. 1 single and 11th career No.1. The album's lead single, "Take A Little Ride," recently spent three weeks at No. 1.

About Rio Tinto Stadium

Rio Tinto Stadium is a state-of-the-art, sports and entertainment facility in Utah, providing a stunning new home for world-class events, one with breathtaking views of both the Oquirrh and Wasatch Mountain ranges. Rio Tinto Stadium opened its doors for the first time on October 9, 2008, with Real Salt Lake Major League Soccer action televised before an international audience.  The venue’s first-ever concert event featured legendary rockers The Eagles on May 9, 2009. Since that day, high-profile acts such as Kenny Chesney, Sir Paul McCartney and Neil Diamond have also thrilled Utah audiences with jaw-dropping performances at the spectacular venue.

The Stadium, which has hosted marquee events such as the 2009 MLS All-Star Game, a United States Men’s National Team FIFA World Cup Qualifier vs. El Salvador and the 2011 CONCACAF Champions League Final, is a new class of venue in the Intermountain West, attracting events that would not otherwise visit Utah and bolstering the state's reputation as an international sports and entertainment destination. The diversity of events attracted to Rio Tinto Stadium brings significant media attention, positively impacts tourism efforts and creates numerous job opportunities on both permanent and seasonal bases. In March, 2008, the Stadium was recognized by Forbes.com as one of “10 New Super-Stadiums” in development worldwide.

Located in Sandy, Utah, at the heart of the Wasatch Front, Rio Tinto Stadium is conveniently accessed from major transportation arteries Interstate-15 as well State Street, between 9000 South and 9400 South. The venue resides just 15 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City and 25 minutes from SLC International Airport. The venue seats 20,213 people for various sporting events, including Real Salt Lake games, with capacity rising to 25,000 for concerts and other events. Stadium amenities include 32 luxury suites, a 2,000-square foot Stadium Club, 1,000 club seats, five locker rooms, a 60-foot Video Board, and ribbon LED boards on both the east and west fascia.
